It all started after James Gunn replied to a Twitter account that he has not yet decided who to cast for the role of Superman. According to the director, the script is not even close to finishing and will take quite some time.

My thoughts are no one has been cast as Superman yet. Casting, as is almost always the case with me, will happen after the script is finished or close to finished, and it isn’t. We’ll announce a few things in not too long, but the casting of Superman won’t be one of them. 🧜♂️https://t.co/2SGWV2RSI7

NEVER. EVER. NEVER. That square jaw, chiseled face, body of life, symmetry to die for? And a nice guy to boot? Unless they resurrect Mr. Reeves, they’re never topping Cavill.
