After a ten-year run, theAttack on Titanfranchise came to an end. Every fan desired that the anime had ended differently, happier, with Eren and Mikasa having their happily-ever-after moment. However, becauseAttack on Titanhas never been a particularly romantic anime series, it was never going to work for both of them. Throughout the series, Mikasa has stood by the side of the protagonist, Eren, who jumps headlong into battle to avenge his mother’s death. However, his deeds led to his demise, leaving the great issue – who does Mikasa end up with?

This question was not answered properly either in the manga or the anime, but there are still some speculations that may reveal the mystery behind Mikasa’s life after the death of Eren in the series. A mid-credit scene points out some indication of Mikasa’s life that will break fans into tears.

Speculations Behind Who Mikasa Marries
Mikasa has been in love with Eren since the beginning ofAttack on Titan. Eren had been a close friend to her since she was a child. Later in the program, fans saw Mikasa develop feelings for Eren. In the end, however, she remains alone beside Eren’s grave, reminiscing about their youth while waiting for Armin, Jean, and the others. As a result, based on confirmed information, Mikasa does not marry anyone.
Later in life, as she ages, she appears to be accompanied by a male; however, there is no definite confirmation as to whether or not he is her husband. Some fans believe the man is Armin, while others believe the woman is not Mikasa. There’s no way to tell unless Isayama confirms something. Still, there is a mid-credit scene that portrays the image that Mikasa did not marry anyone and purely loved Eren till the day she died and was buried next to the man she loved.

Mid-Credit Scene Answers If Mikasa Marries Someone or Not
Attack on Titanwas never about character romance. A story of military annihilation, the stakes were always too high for any romance to flourish. Even if there is a pleasant ending, it is laced with tragedy. Mikasa is buried beside Eren after her death, symbolizing her lifelong bond with him. While we never see Mikasa’s face as an elder, the presence of Eren’s red scarf around her neck symbolizes her ongoing love for him.
In addition, she is buried with the same white flowers as Eren had on his burial. White flowers are often associated with unmarried persons in several cultures, which may support Mikasa’s theory of being unmarried.
