The entertainment industry almost went into a complete shutdown with movie studios failing to handle the situation.

Daniel Craig’sQuantum of SolaceTurned Into A Disappointment
Facing a grave situation during the 2007-08 WGA strike, Daniel Craig took up the responsibility to make the necessary changes in the script. Temporarily shifting his role from being a legendary actor to a scriptwriter, Craig tried helping Marc Forster and his crew with the $590M movie.
“I wrote the script myself,” the actor revealed. During a 2012 interview, Daniel Craig admitted how the original Paul Haggis’ screenplay arrived just two hours before the outbreak of the writers’ strike. Thus, the situation forced Craig to lift the pen for the sake of his own franchise.
“We were f***ed. We had a bare bones of a script and then there was a writers’ strike and there was nothing we could do. There was me trying to rewrite scenes, and a writer I am not.” Daniel Craig shared.
Although Daniel Craig tried his best to help the director and not rush their half-finished film into production, his attempt ended up being a disaster in 007 history. Later, Marc Forster admitted how he wanted to run away from the project and considered quitting due to the ongoing issue and time constraint imposed onQuantum Of Solace.
