Daredevil: Born Againis in the process of…well… being born again. With the SAG-AFTRA strikes finally at an end, bringing in much-needed relief for its members, productions are underway industry-wide. However,Daredevilis not resuming production, but starting over completely.

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead, fresh off theLokiSeason 2 finale, spoke to The Wrap, detailing their progress on theDaredevilreboot for the main MCU timeline. The duo seems to be hard at work, and considering what they have said, it bodes well for the MCU and the fans that their focus right now is on preparation.

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead are currently busy doing their homework forDaredevil
Benson and Moorehead have been hard at study. The directing duo has decided to immerse themselves in Daredevil content, eating up everything that is being served, to ensure that they have a comprehensive understanding of the character, the material, and the plot. Moorehead said (viaThe Wrap):
“It is day zero. We’re currently just consuming Daredevil content, not just the Netflix show but all the possible material. We’re just making our stew of information nice and thick.”

It bodes well for the series that among the references is the hit Netflix seriesDaredevil. This version of the character has been vaguely eluded to exist in the same universe as the main MCU timeline but has since been disregarded as being part of its own universe. However, given its critical success, fans have been clamoring for a show on the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen that follows the same format within the MCU.
The duo seems fairly prepared to do what is necessary to deliver the character to the audience, given that they have previously worked on not one, but two MCU properties. Apart from being primary directors onLokiSeason 2, the duo were also responsible forMoon Knight’s episodes 2 and 4.

What can we expect fromDaredevil: Born Again
It is safe to say that the upcoming Disney+ show,Daredevil: Born Again, is in good hands. Benson and Moorehead are masters of their craft, who have taken it upon themselves to intimately familiarize themselves with the material. Given how dark Daredevil as a property can get, it is safe to assume that the Daredevil that will come out of the process will be closer to what we have seen in Netflix’s Daredevil, rather than the quip-fest that we saw inShe-Hulk: Attorney At Law.
With Charlie Cox coming in to essay the role of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen again, one can only hope that this creative overhaul also brings in series favorites like Deborah Ann Woll, who played Karen Page, and Elden Henson, who essayed the role of Foggy Nelson in the Netflix series. Fan have made their desire to see the trio back together known. Here’s hoping that since things are going well, they continue to do so withDaredevil: Born Again.
