On top of this, he is also an incredibly influential figure, being at the heights of fame in the film industry. Being as well-known as he is, it is only natural that there is a lot that is known about the actor outside of his professional life. One such factor is that he is a very big preacher of the Church of Scientology.

Besides this, there is another aspect known about the actor that is quite odd in modern times. Tom Cruise Was Bullied
During an interview withParade, highly respected actor,Tom Cruiseconfessed some deeply troubling moments in his childhood. The actor had difficulty reading when he was younger. To cope with this, he would have to take extra lessons to keep up with the other children. Unfortunately, in attempt to keep up with the other children, he ended up standing out in a different way.
“So many times the big bully comes up, pushes me,”he said.“Your heart’s pounding, you sweat, and you feel like you’re going to vomit. I’m not the biggest guy, I never liked hitting someone, but I know if I don’t hit that guy hard he’s going to pick on me all year. I go, ‘You better fight.’ I just laid it down. I don’t like bullies.”

This resulted in Cruise getting heavily bullied in his younger years. It wasn’t just the fact that he was believed it one school, but this was a common occurrence that followed in 15 different schools over the course of 12 years of his life. Tom Cruise Had To Seek Therapy
When he was seven years old, Tom Cruise’s difficulties with reading became so serious, that the school that he was in, at the time, took him to a psychiatrist to get tested for a learning disability. Soon the actor learned that he was dyslexic. While diagnosis like this would have offered a form of relief for many, the same could not be said for Cruise.
“The school took me to a psychiatrist to get tested,”he recalled.“They said, ‘Oh, he’s dyslexic.’ I’m labeled. It instantly put me into confusion. It was an absolute affront to my dignity.”He went on,“I remember thinking, ‘I’ve got to figure this out. What’s normal? Am I normal? Who’s to say what’s normal?’ I didn’t understand what ‘normal’ is. It still doesn’t make sense.”He added,“This is what led me to the study of psychiatry. I went and looked at it and realized all these labels don’t mean anything. Labels aren’t a solution.”

The actor confessed that instead of this feeling like a validation, it felt like a label for him. He confessed that it made him very confused about his dignity and started to question that he fit with others. he mentioned that he was so concerned with trying to figure this out, not wanting to be abnormal. this made the actor, dislike labels and psychiatry altogether.
