It was heartbreaking for fans of the veteran actor when it was announced that Bruce Willis had been diagnosed with aphasia. With a further and detailed diagnosis, it was revealed that the actor was suffering from frontotemporal dementia or FTD.

The actor’s family announced the news on social media back in March 2022. The announcement also marked the end of Bruce Willis’ career in the Hollywood industry as the actor decided to step back from films since he wasn’t able to work effectively. Well, an expert recently stated that Willis’ medical condition is worse than what people thought since it is essentially…incurable.

Back in March 2022, Bruce Willis announced his retirement from the world of acting. Although at that time, the actor was only diagnosed with aphasia, but it wasn’t that simple. In February 2023, Willis’ family announced that a more thorough diagnosis revealed that the actor was suffering from frontotemporal dementia, also known as FTD.

The family took to their social media to announce that sadly, thePulp Fictionstar’s loss of speaking abilities was just one of the symptoms. As per medical sources, a person suffering from FTD will only get worse over time. Emma Willis, the wife of the veteran actor recently talked about her husband’s condition and lamented that“when you live in the world of dementia you know that options are slim.”

Mirror US spoke to Tim Parry, the director at Alzheimer’s Research UK to talk about the actor’s health progression. Sadly for the millions of fans worldwide, Parry revealed that there have been no cures found that could slow or stop the progression of FTD.

“As Bruce Willis’ family have highlighted, there are currently no treatments to slow or stop frontotemporal dementia. Because of this, the focus is to help people with the disease manage their symptoms in everyday life. This is the tragic reality every single person affected by the disease faces today and we shouldn’t accept it.”

With the actor suffering from such a serious medical condition, his dear friend and notable director wants Willis to star in one final movie. Sources close to director Quentin Tarantino recently revealed that the director wishes for theDie Hardactor to give a single cameo in Tarantino’s tenth and final film.
