Emily Blunt andAnne Hathawayworked on 2006’sDevil Wears Prada, a comedy/satire on the fashion industry and its inner workings. The film has developed a cult following and remains one of the most popular films ever made. Both actresses were reunited forVariety’s Actors on Actorssegment recently.

When Hathaway asked Blunt how they first met, Blunt hilariously could bring herself to narrate the particular anecdote, citing her blurry memory. Hathaway jokingly expressed her embarrassment at this and claimed that she’s more into Blunt than she is to her. She said,

“This is so embarrassing because I remember every second of the first time I met you. I’m just so much more into you than you are into me.”

Hathaway went on to narrate how she was starstruck by Blunt the first time she met her. Blunt also expressed her gratitude to Hathaway for making her feel comfortable, supporting her throughout her first time in New York, and being a good friend all these years.

Emily Blunt‘s breakout role was in the 2006 comedy-drama filmDevil Wears Pradawhere she played Emily Charlton the senior assistant to Meryl Streep’s character Miranda Priestly. During the recent Variety’s Actors on Actors segment, she was reunited with Anne Hathaway, who also starred in the film.

Both actresses reminisced about their time in the film. Blunt went on to praise Hathaway and her amazement at what the film has become and achieved over the years. She also called the film the project that changed her life. Blunt said,

They praise Nolan for his discipline and how he is also incredibly funny and generous on set.
