AfterOne Piece,it would seem thatNarutotoo has found itself in the depths of the live-action pool. The success that followed Eiichiro Oda’s work turned into a live-action series that brought about even greater fame to an already epic series. Although the series was a massive success, the same cannot be said for many, many other works. Disney holds the greatest example for that as well.

With the way things are going, keeping hope regarding whether or not a series would be good hangs by a thread of optimism and pessimism. Balance is imperative when it comes to ideas both original and adaptive. In this scenario, another contender that rises is that of Naruto. Masashi Kishimoto’s work also eyes a live-action adaptation. One that could either be really good or terribly bad.

Naruto Could Suffer Greatly

Narutomuch likeOne Piece,is also in the path of getting a live-action adaptation. Masashi Kishimoto’s work will soon be turned into a possible masterpiece that can perhaps mesmerize the audience in ways unimaginable to many. Despite all the doubts that came with Eiichiro Oda’s work, the ultimate series was a massive hit keeping in mind the essence of the show despite who was cast. However, the same cannot be said for Naruto.

A masterpiece such as that of the series may turn to dust if it becomes a victim of something that is far too common in the world of Hollywood, whitewashing. Whether it is purely for the purpose of humor or in a literal sense, it would seem that fan casting for the movie has already begun. Although not a series, a movie is in the works with Lionsgate and Tasha Huo, as perVariety, as a screenwriter for the same. However, the chances of its success would be slim if iconic characters get completely whitewashed in the depths of Hollywood. Something similar took place with Scarlett Johansson’sGhost in the Shell.

Tom Holland is the New Naruto?

Fans have been divided in the thoughts of whether a live-action movie is a good idea or a bad idea. Many wish to have this idea entirely scrapped while others are looking forward to it. At the same time, there are people continuously trolling the upcoming film with some of the most absurd casting choices. One being, Billie Eilish as Orochimaru.

JUST NO. This is a bad idea.

Many are even rooting for Tom Holland to take over the titular role. Whether this is in jest or all seriousness, it is concerning nonetheless. Many are even casting Scarlett Johansson to take up the role of Sakura. With Mark Zuckerberg as a potential candidate in the eyes of some fans, the fate of this movie looks to be hanging by a thread.
