Stephen Amell’s Opinion On Other Actors Playing Green Arrow

Considering the plans James Gunn andPeter Safranhave for DCU, there is no doubt a possibility of witnessing a reprised or rebooted version of Green Arrow. However, after playing the role for more than a decade, Stephen Amell had some opinions about someone else playing his role in the upcoming DCU.

Calling himself “a custodian for” the character of Oliver Queen, the veteran actor Amell compared himself to the Superman inSmallville, Tom Welling.

“I am a custodian for Oliver Queen, and [Grant Gustin] is a custodian for Barry Allen in the same way that… look, I don’t think anyone’s asking Tom Welling how he feels about who’s going to play the new Superman.” Stephen Amell mentioned.

Although Amell expressed his excitement over witnessing other actors play his role in the upcoming versions, the actor appeared slightly saddened by the fact. “There will be another Oliver Queen. There will and it’ll be new and cool and exciting and however much the internet hates it is probably a direct indication as to how good it’s going to be.” the actor stated.

AlthoughJames Gunnplanned out a massive interconnected universe for DCU, at the current moment there is no confirmation about Green Arrow or the rest of theArrowverse. Gunn is yet to unveil his plans on the same.
