Just a few weeks later,Ben Affleck was confirmed to return as the Dark Knightfor Andy Muschietti’sThe Flash. Now, another member of the Justice League is reportedly in talks to appear in the upcoming movie.

After her debut inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Israeli actor quickly rose to stardom with Patty Jenkins’Wonder Woman(2017). The astounding success ofWonder Womanbrought much-needed stability to the DCEU after the polarizing reception ofMan of Steel,Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, andSuicide Squad.

The Flashis reportedly being loosely adapted from the critically acclaimedFlashpointstoryline. In the comics, Wonder Woman and her Amazonians engage in a fierce war with Aquaman and his Atlantean army in a different timeline. Unfortunately,The Flashwon’t be featuring the Amazonian and Atlantean war, along with entirely skipping Thomas Wayne’s battered and hardened Batman.

As Gal Gadot is one of thehighest-paid and most sought actorsin the industry right now, her return as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman inThe Flashalongside Michael Keaton andBen Affleckis a bold and ambitious move on part of Andy Muschietti. According to theDeadline, Henry Cavill might also reprise his role as Superman in the movie, completing DC’s golden trinity.

The addition of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman is definitely exciting news, butThe Flashis not going to be an easy movie to pull off. As the movie is set to introduce the multiverse, the additional burden of two Batmen, Wonder Woman, and a rumored Superman should not sideline the priority of a tightly written script and an unforgettable cinematic experience.
The Flashis set to release on July 18, 2025.
