Claire Foy has done some of the most tremendous works whether it is by playing the Late Queen Elizabeth inThe Crownor Lisbeth Salander inThe Girl in the Spider’s Web.Her works are almost always critically acclaimed but now that she is long since done with the role of the former, things have begun unfolding in ways that open a vast amount of career opportunities for her.
Due to the various roles she could pick, choosing a career path also was up to her. In a rather humorous manner, she also discussed just how many opportunities she can take up. Rather, many of those that she would not either. Unfortunately for Benedict Cumberbatch, that included his viral clip fromThe Hobbitas well.

Claire Foy is Amused by Benedict Cumberbatch
While speaking to Josh Horowitz during his podcast,Happy Sad Confused,Claire Foyopened up about possible career prospects that different types of movies can provide for her. When asked about choosing a role similar to that of Andy Serkis in thePlanet of the Apesfranchise, she was more than ecstatic about it.
“I would do motion capture and then where was I that I saw Benedict being the dragon in Lord of the Rings? I don’t want that to be out there. Have you seen that clip?”
She admitted that motion capture was something she would be willing to do if the opportunity presented itself. However, she would not want something similar that happened to Benedict Cumberbatch to happen to her as well. His behind-the-scenes clip while playing Smaug inThe Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaugwas one that became absolutely viral. His movements were ironically funny and to have that outside in the world for Foy would be rather embarrassing, to say the least.

When Josh Horowitz asked Claire Foy about whether or not she would be open to working with Tom Cruise on a possibleTop Gunfilm, she straight up said no. While talking onHappy Sad Confused,she began to explain how there are many people who would go miles beyond for their work, but not her.
“I hear he gets people in planes and makes them be physically sick.”
She exclaimed about how the way he is with his co-stars is not something she is willing to bend for. There are ways in which she would give her all just to perfect her role. However, physical turmoil is not one of them.
