While the days of The Infinity Saga may be behind us today, the impact that it had on the MCU will forever be revered by fans as the true glory days of the MCU. And leading it to that point were not the superheroes, but the main antagonist, the Mad Titan Thanos. Single-handedly bringing the Earth’s mightiest heroes to their knees was something that only he could’ve achieved.

Despite being the big bad of the last saga, he still had an honorable, although, genocidal way of saving the universe. But during his conquest to save the entirety of existence on his own, he also found his daughter Gamorra. However, when we look back at the journey of the MCU in retrospect today, we may find thatAvengers: Infinity Warmay have created an inconsistency for the Titan’s Zehoberei daughter.
HowAvengers: Infinity WarCreated A Plot Hole For Thanos’ Quest To Save Half The Universe
Although the tale of The Mad Titan Thanos, portrayed byJosh Brolin, was one of epic proportions that opened up the gates for Marvel Studios to expand the MCU to multiversal levels. But in itself, the story of the character was enough for most of the fandom to sympathize with the antagonist, who was doing it all for the greater good.
Despite this noble storyline,Avengers: Infinity WarandEndgamewere a lot to take in, but those who did found a major inconsistency in the narrative, which disregarded the entire reason for the antagonist’s genocide plan.

As it was stated by Thanos himself, his plan to save his home planet by committing genocide and preserving half the population was disregarded by the people, which led to its downfall in the end. Thus, for other planets to not suffer the same fate, he took matters into his own hands and started cleansing galaxies, leaving only half of the healthy population surviving in the end.
However, when the audience meetsRhomann Dey of the Nova Corps, he narrates that Gamora, played byZoe Saldana, is the last surviving member of her race called the Zehoberei. This goes against Thanos’ ideals as when we saw him adopt Gamora while killing the populace of her home planet, we definitely see many die by his hands. However, according to the narrative, he was there to save the planet from ruin, which would mean he only killed half of the entire population.

Thus, when Gamora’s backstory was recreated for the film, people raised the question of the Corpsman’s claims that she was the last surviving member of her race.
What Can Be The Plausible Explanations?
Even if the film never explains what happens to the otherZehoberei on their planet after Thanos’ raging mass murder, there are a few explanations.
Many theories suggest that the planet where theZehoberei lived may have reached a point where resources became so scarce that it became irredeemable, and despite Thanos’ cleansing half of the planet’s population, the people still perished. Others suggest that a natural calamity may have claimed the planet, while most believe that this is just one of the MCU’s many inconsistencies over the years.
