While the original Tails of Iron was praised by critics and players alike, it still ended up being overlooked by most souls-like fans due to its linear progression.
However, with the sequel, developerOdd Bug Studioaims to rectify most of the players’ complaints with the first game. Instead of tunnelling players into boss fights, the sequel offers plenty of exploration-heavy segments, with an increased focus on build crafting. Furthermore, the combat in Tails of Iron 2 is more robust compared to the original, with a huge variety of tools and abilities at the players’ disposal.

All Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter Editions
Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is scheduled to be released onJanuary 28, 2025. The game is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Furthermore, the game also supports Xbox Smart Delivery as well as PS5 upgrade entitlement. This means that, if you purchase the PS4 or Xbox One version of the game, you will be able to upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S versions at no additional cost.
Pre-orders for the sequel are now live on consoles. However, on PC, players will need to wait a few more weeks before they can pre-order Tails of Iron 2. Meanwhile, PC players can add the game to their Steam Wishlist to stay up-to-date on pre-orders.

Tails of Iron 2, much like its predecessor, is offered in two different editions:StandardandDeluxe. The Standard Edition comes with just the base game, whereas the Deluxe Edition comes bundled with a few extra in-game bonuses. Here’s a breakdown of the different editions of Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter:

It should be noted that there are no additional bonuses for pre-ordering Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. Furthermore, the Deluxe Edition bonuses are also available as a standalone purchase for players who pre-order or purchase the Standard Edition.
Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter PC System Requirements
Tails of Iron 2: Whisker of Winter features the same system requirements as its predecessor. This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the sequel essentially uses the same art style as its predecessor.
As long as you have a modern PC with at least 2 GB of VRAM, you will be able to play Tails of Iron 2 without any issues at 1080p.
