James Gunn was astonished by Margot Robbie’s stunt
Despite the plethora of underwhelming releases in the DCEU, the best entry in this universe was James Gunn’sThe Suicide Squad,which was arguably the best Superhero entry of 2021. But among the long list of positives that make this one work in comparison to the last one,Margot Robbie‘s contribution as Quinn remains at the very top. Apart from her incredible performance, the thing that left Gunn in complete admiration of the actress was the stunt where she had to unlock herself while being hung up by handcuffs over her head. Gunn explained,
“[Robbie] is like a human Swiss army knife, and watching this scene with her flipping backward was just beyond incredible. I was so happy that it worked and I was mesmerized by it
Considering the movie involves a ton of memorable sequences that makes it one of Gunn’s best work, praising Robbie’s stunt and claiming it as his best day on set really tells the gravity of the situation. But things got a little tense after recent rumors surrounding theBabylonstar’s exclusion from the new DCU started circulating, which didn’t sit right with theGuardiansdirector.

James Gunn aggressively brushed off the rumors of Margot Robbie leaving DCU

And when a recent rumor claimed that Margot Robbie was parting ways with the role of Harley Quinn following the rumors surrounding her inclusion in MCU, Gunn didn’t hesitate while brushing off these claims. Responding to these rumors, the director stated,
“Dude, why do you just keep posting lies?… Sometimes they’re just stupid made up stuff. But other times, making up bulls*** like this about people I care about, can be hurtful. Maybe you’re having a difficult time in life & lying for attention is how you get solace. But please find a better way.”
