Mew VMAX Deck Strategy
The ideal hand for this deck is one Battle VIP Pass, 1 Double Turbo Energy, and Ultra Ball. You use Battle VIP Pass to bench Genesect V, Mew V, and or Meloetta. Once this is completed, you attach Double Turbo Energy to Mew V and Ultra Ball for Mew VMAX assuming it’s not in your hand. On turn two, Mew V should be in the active spot, evolve to Mew VMax, and mimic Genesect V attack for 210 damage.
This setup is critical to getting out to an early lead and doesn’t require Rare Candy or complex evolutions. Once you are out in front with Mew VMAX, start loading up your bench with additional Fusion Strike Pokemon and energy. Retreat Mew VMAX if you expect a knockout as it gives up 3 prize cards. Additionally, Path to the Peak or Lost Vacuum are your counters to cards or abilities you need to remove.
For drawing cards and keeping your hand full, use a combination of Iono and Genesect V. If you have multiple copies, you’re able to use the ability more than once per turn to keep your hand full of cards depending on your favorite Fusion Strike Pokemon.
