And after years of striving to bag a role in the franchise, she will finally play a lead role inSecret Invasion.However, when she pitched an idea for her character, it got butchered by the showrunners.

Olivia Colman’s Idea ForSecret InvasionWas Given A Cold-Shoulder
During a press conference for Marvel’sSecret Invasion,Olivia Colmanshared, how she was jealous of the huge success of the MCU movies at the Box Office, she got desperate and asked her agent to somehow get her a role in the franchise.
“After every Marvel film that’s landed in cinemas, I’ve phoned my agent and said, ‘Please get on me in the Marvel!”

The Crownactress added that she pleaded with her manager so much that she would have been annoyed by her or got her the role of Agent Sonya Falsworth inSecret Invasionwhich she was so desperate to play.
“And finally, either she got fed up of me calling her, or it happened. So it wasn’t ‘Why Secret Invasion?’ Secret Invasion called — any mention of the word Marvel, and I’d be in it,”reported Looper.

Even though her dream role in the franchise took her a few years to play, it turns out that Olivia Colman is a huge fan of superhero films. During an exclusive interview with Empire Magazine, Colman shared she was so excited that she pitched the idea of having superpowers for her character, but the showrunners turned down the request of the Academy Award-winning actress.
“I kept asking if I could be bitten by something or fall into a vat of something. They were having none of it.”

While Colman’s character will not be having any superpowers, she will be working alongside Nick Fury, acting as her ally to win the fight against Skrulls.

Samuel L. Jackson Was Excited To Work Alongside Olivia Colman
Samuel L. Jackson, who has been playing the role of Nich Fury since Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was also present during Colman’s interview with Empire Magazine, and he was excited to work alongside theFleabagactress, and how much fun they had while shooting for the TV Series.
“I thought, ‘How lucky can I be to know that today is finally going to be the day I get to act with Olivia Colman?’ The next thing you know, we were having the most fun you could ever have, sitting there pretending to be these two people that have had a long relationship seeing each other again for the first time in years.”
Marvel’sSecret Invasionhappens to be one of the most exciting MCU projects, that promises the return of Nick Fury, and the actor will be joined by some big names such as Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Christopher McDonald, and many more making their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But most importantly it will talk about Skrulls, who have infiltrated the World Government, and fans are excited to see how Nick Fury would clean this mess, and more importantly where the franchise will move forward.
