Back in September,Payday 3was released, and since that release date,it has received a lot of negative responses from the gaming community due to a few issues that plagued the game on its official release.
These issues were mainly targeted at the game’s lack of connectivity, as players struggled to get into lobbies to play the game. Since then,Starbreeze,Payday 3‘s developer, issued a statement that they would begin working on a fix for this issue, and ever since then, it has sadly been radio silence, and now Starbreeze has come forward to explain why they have been so silent on these updates.
Why is Starbreeze being so Silent Regarding the Payday 3 Updates?
So far,Payday 3has had a rough time with its release, as the game has unfortunately been plagued with numerous issues that have caused many long-term fans to even avoid the game and return to its predecessor,Payday 2.
The main culprits for these issues arePayday 3‘s lack of updates and Starbreeze’s lack of announcements regarding future updates. Understandably, fans of the franchise have been eager to learn what Starbreeze is doing to fix the game and when these fixes will be released so players can enjoy their game.
Now gamers will have to wait no longer, as Starbreeze has come forward to explain that they didn’t want to be silent regarding the lack of updates. The main reason they have chosen to give no updates to the game’s fan base is because they cannot answer the one main question that is on everyone’s mind: when willPayday 3receive updates?
Even though Starbreeze has been silent regarding this issue, now they have come forward and have made it very clear that thePayday 3team is working tirelessly to work on the update so that it can be released as soon as possible.
It has also been mentioned that the next update that will be released forPayday 3is currently under testing and certification with both Sony and Microsoft to maintain parity between the two platforms.
What Other Issues have Arisen to Cause the Delay in Updates for Payday 3?
So far, the release ofPayday 3has been a rough ride, as there have been countless issues that have plagued the game’s release and have caused many of the franchise’s fans to ignore the game for the time being.
But these issues are quite minimal in comparison to an issue that appeared while the developers were attempting to create the next set of updates for the game. While working on the updates, the developers came across an issue that, if left unchecked, could of caused players to lose all of their progression in the game thus far.
After the developers became aware of this issue, they determined that they needed a safe testing environment for their future updates. This has led to even more delays, as the developers want to ensure that these issues do not occur, especially for gamers who have been able to gain access toPayday 3and its servers.
This also combines with a future update that Starbreeze is looking into, as they have heard complaints from thePayday 3fan base about the progression system itself. Many players feel it is too difficult to progress in this system, and they believe they should receive infamy after every mission they complete.
This is something Starbreeze is currently looking into, and once they begin to roll out patches for the game, they will then continue to look forward to potential free updates to the game before the end of the year, bringing new content to the game for players to enjoy.
