She carried her success as a teenager and an adult through many blockbuster films that made her a superstar at a very young age. But this fame and fortune also had an adverse effect onThe Parent Trapactor, according to her Georgia Rule co-star,Dermot Mulroney. Speaking about his up-and-down experiences in the industry, Mulroney recalled the ugly side of superstardom that adversely affected someone like Lindsay Lohan at the peak of her career and took a huge toll on her. In an interview withThe Guardian, the celebrity said,

“She’s one of the first victims of social media. My hands are shaking because these are traumatized people. People her age, they were hit with the first wave of being famous in that way. We’ve learned since how destructive and awful that is, especially if you’re young and seeking it deliberately”.

The superstardom that Lindsay Lohan achieved as a young star, was marred by many obstacles in her personal life including legal troubles for driving under the influence of alcohol and doing cocaine. TheMean Girlsactor hit a low point when she was incarcerated for a 90-day period in jail out of which she had to serve 14 days in solitary confinement. This was actually a reprieve for the star to protect herself from other women who had committed murder. “The weirdest part for me was I finally had silence in my life … As terrified as I was and as scared as I was, I finally felt like I didn’t have to answer to anyone and I didn’t have to do anything for anyone. That was the weirdest part of it.”
