When Evans was in his junior year of high school, he was clear about his goal of becoming an actor. He explained to his parents that he wanted to pursue acting seriously, and for that, he moved to New York City. Eventually, Evans got an internship with a casting agency and decided to graduate early as he bagged a role in the comedy/drama seriesOpposite Sex, a show that unfortunately, got canceled.

Chris Evans graduated early for a show that got canceled
In 2011, actorChris Evansappeared for an interview withBoston Magazineand revealed that when he was in his junior year of high school, he moved to New York City, where he attended the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute. He then returned to Lincoln-Sudbury High in Massachusetts to complete his senior year but had to travel to New York City for auditions once a week. He recalled,
“At that point, college was still part of the plan but then I got really lucky. I got a pilot, and that got picked up and took me to L.A. So we decided, ‘Maybe college can wait.'”
Evans then bagged the role of Cary in the American comedy-drama seriesOpposite Sex. The actor then “doubled up” on his remaining classes and graduated early so he could move to Los Angeles in order to work in the show. Unfortunately, the show was canceled after eight episodes, but it did create more opportunities for Evans.

Chris Evans had a terrible start
The opportunities that Evans got weren’t that exciting, in fact, his friends bullied him for his performances in his first few movies. In 2009, the actor told theBoston Globe,
“My first couple of movies were really terrible. The Perfect Score, which was gone in a New York minute, and then I did a movie called Cellular, which was gone, then Orphan King, which never even made it to theaters. Your first movie, you think ‘This is it! Look out world!’ And then you’re like, ‘Oh… back to the drawing board, I guess.'”
Evans’ career witnessed new heights when he bagged the iconic role of Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His work as a patriotic superhero captivated audiences worldwide, making him a household name. His commitment to the character, both physically and emotionally, earned him a loyal fanbase.
