Naruto has a variety of characters apart from the main characters. From Naruto and Sasuke to even Itachi and Shikimaru, Masashi Kishimoto has offered a range of individuals for each fan of his. Even with his own array of people he has created, the creator has his own favorites. In this manner, it is no hidden truth that if there is one character he likes more than others, then it is Sasuke Uchiha.

Even with a choice in character favoritism, when it comes to putting his ideas on paper, that is, to draw them, he has another character who shines brighter than the rest of them. Each mangaka seems to have specific likes and dislikes about their preferences in character drawings, such as Gege Akutami, who gave Gojo Satoru a blindfold because they hated drawing bandages again and again.

Masashi Kishimoto Has a Drawing Favorite

Out of the various characters in the world of Naruto, it is Sasuke that stands asMasashi Kishimoto‘s favorite. However, when it comes to drawing them, it is an Akatsuki member that catches his eye. While fans might think it to be Itachi Uchiha or Orochimaru, it is none other than fan-favorite character Akatsuki Hidan.

Much likeDragon Ball’s creator Akira Toriyama, Hidan was initially in it for the money. He joined the Akatsuki purely for one purpose and being a bounty hunter was something he excelled at. Uniquely enough, the character was granted immortality by Jashin. This is something Kishimoto adores heavily and his interesting villainous prowess made it an interesting experience for the mangaka to draw him. The author loves to see how the character is so powerful, something he shares dearly with the fans as well. Not only that, but his immortality is also a factor that motivated him to draw Hidan again and again.

Masashi Kishimoto Refuses to Bring Hidan Back

Despite Masashi Kishimoto absolutely enjoying his experience in drawing Hidan, the character will not be returning to the series anytime soon. He met his fate by being blown into bits. Immortality does not necessarily mean that characters cannot be met with fatal endings, Hidan was no different in that case. He was reduced to bits by Shikimaru and then buried alive, still in pieces. Cronos, in some retellings of Greek Mythology, was met with a similar fate where he too was cut into pieces and then thrown.

When asked about whether or not Hidan would return, considering he is still alive, Kishimoto had his own explanations. Although he likes to draw the character, he does not wish to draw him again in the Fourth Great Ninja War.
