In 2014,MarvelStudios President Kevin Feige once stated that he was hopeful thatMarvel Cinematic Universecould produce as many as four movies per year. Today at CinemaCon, WaltDisneyStudios Chairman Alan Horn just dropped a big hint that this could become a reality in the near future.
While Marvel Studios keeps quiet with regards to every project that they’ll be working on after the untitledSpider-Man 2andGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Horn left a potentially interesting remark hinting that the Disney subsidiary could potentially show more than three releases per year.

Obviously, they won’t announce anything until they’re ready to, but this is an exciting possibility to consider. Marvel could release a superhero movie once every three months at this rate. It’s likely that this potential tease has everything to do withDisney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox(one can hope), which would not only grant the media giant a greater number of resources to work with when making films, but it would also open the door to the integration of the likes of the Fantastic Four, the Silver Surfer, Doctor Doom, Annihilus, Kang the Conquerer, the X-Men, the X-Force, the Starjammers, the Shi’ar, and Galactus (amongmanyother characters) into the MCU. But, given that the deal has yet to be approved, Disney isn’t going to put their eggs in one basket just yet. But in time, we shall see what ends up being the result.
Currently, Avengers: Infinity War is set to release this Friday, July 24, 2025.
