Dave Bautista and Manny Pacquiao have been in the news because the latter made some homophobic comments, the former recently starred in the much-talked-aboutGlass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. TheGlass Onion: A Knives Out Mysterystar removed a tattoo to show his support for the LGBTQ community and said“It’s personal for me.”He covered the tattoo with another one. He talked to GQ about this in a recent interview and revealed his disappointment towards the derogatory comments.

Manny Pacquiao made some homophobic comments earlier, it was in light of those comments that Bautista could no longer support the team or the man. Even though Manny Pacquiao is revered as a boxer, his homophobic remarks have offended many.

We all know Dave Bautista as Drax from theMarvel Cinematic Universe, he is an integral team member ofGuardians of the Galaxy. The stoic, poker-faced humor that Bautista added made him our favorite character and earned the actor a lot of fame.

Dave Bautista used to be a part of the WWE franchise, thus his physique helped him ease into Drax and get under his skin. Not just that, the actor has done various other roles. However, the MCU actor is now looking for more dramatic roles.

In a TikTok video, the actor said that “it was a team logo.”  He continued “I was part of a team of a person I considered a friend and someone I looked up to. And then, he later came out publicly with some anti-gay statements and turned out to be an extreme homophobe.”

The boxer has shown his respect and appreciation towards Manny Pacquiao’s work but condemns the comments he threw at the LGBTQ community.

Dave Bautista posted this as a caption for his Instagram post, “I was always proud of who my mom was because she was always proud of who she was. In your face, f— you if you don’t like it, unapologetically loud and proud. And her son [paid] attention. BE LOUD, BE PROUD, BE YOU,”Bautista wrote with the hashtag #ProudSonOfALesbian.

The actor wants to ‘Stick His Foot’ in Manny Pacquiao’s A**

Dave Bautistathrough his Instagram posts and many other social media platforms have always shown support for the LGBTQ community. He has never shied away and been proud of it. TheGlass Onion: A Knives Out Mysterystar showed his support of LGBTQ permanently by removing the tattoo.

In 2016, when Manny Pacquiao was running for Senate in the Philippines he had this to say about same-sex relations:

“It’s common sense. Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish males from females. If we approve [of] male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals.”

After these comments, theGlass Onion: A Knives Out Mysterystar, Bautista has covered his tattoo. He told the GQ that he got the tattoo removed and now instead of the logo, he has ink of a woman with a sugar skull face painting. Displaying the tattoo he added about the homophobic comments “So, I had a huge issue with it. It’s a personal issue with me, my mom’s a lesbian. And I just could no longer call him a friend. So, I had it covered up with this,” Bautista added.

“I don’t think it’s funny,”Bautista said. “Let’s put it like this, if anyone called my mother an animal, I’d stick my foot in his a**.“, he told TMZ.

Even though Pacquiao said

“I’m sorry for everyone who got hurt due to my comparison of gay people to animals. It was my mistake. Please forgive me for those who I’ve hurt.” However,  he clarified that his stance remains the same“But this does not change my position against same-sex marriage. That’s what I believe. My only mistake is comparing gay people to animals.”

These statements also led companies like Nike to terminate their partnership with Manny Pacquiao. Many on social media have shown their resentment toward the man and his statements.
