Chrono Tokens are one of the currencies in Marvel Rivals that is also abundantly present for everyone. Even though it is not as rare as Lattice or Units, you still shouldn’t overlook their importance. They help youbuy all items in the Battle Pass, whether you have bought the Luxury version or gathered the free items from the pass.
When Season 0 was about to end, Marvel Rivals came up with a system to keep the currency in check. To ensure that you don’t access all the Battle Pass contents early in the season, the developer decided to reset the Chrono Tokens to zero at the onset of each new Season. While your leftover Chrono Tokens would have been used to buy the remaining items from the Battle Pass, anything still left would then just vanish.This system has changed!
Now, any excess Chrono Tokens after automatically buying the leftover items from the Battle Pass can be converted into Units! The exchange rate and the method of conversion are not yet clear, but we will have more information on this by the time the end of Season 1 arrives. However, this is still a pretty useful update. The catch? This trick can only be pulled off by players who have bought the Luxury Battle Pass,not the free Battle Pass users.
How to Earn Chrono Tokens in Marvel Rivals
As mentioned above, no Battle Pass items are claimed without Chrono Tokens. So, you would want to get rich with this purple currency as much as possible. It is not difficult to do so, but it might confuse you at first.
To start with, there are only a few ways to earn these tokens. The methods that I have discovered includeDaily MissionsandChallenges. The tasks that the game gives you can be accessed by going to theHome pageand clicking the window on the left. Completing each of these will either grant you XP, Chrono Tokens, or both. This will be your primary way of earning this purple currency.
Reaching certain milestones by completing theAchievementsin your Career Overview screen on the top right corner can also get you a few Chrono Tokens every now and then, but that method is not so reliable.
you may carry over your Chrono Tokens to the next season in Marvel Rivals without buying the Luxury Battle pass. For this, you will have tobuy the tokensusing Lattice. While this method is effective, it is not as useful and efficient as the new Chrono-to-Units exchange that the devs have introduced.
