However, the 52-year-oldBoogie Nightsstar recently became candid about his future and said that he is thinking of taking the backseat and might call it a day from his acting career. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor, producer, and entrepreneur also spoke about starting his career as a producer in Hollywood.

Is Mark Wahlberg Giving Up Acting?
Mark Wahlberg, in a new interview with Marvin R. Shanken for the September/October issue ofCigar Aficionado, said that he might give up on his acting career soon. From his comments, it seems like he wants to do other stuff within the industry and the end of his acting career is much nearer, as he thinks himself.
The interviewer asked Wahlberg till when he thinks he would be there in front of the camera. TheLone Survivoractor replied: “I am working harder than ever, but I don’t think I’ll be acting that much longer at the pace I am now.”

“Certain businesses, you kind of build them, pass them on or you exit. Hopefully my kids, we’ll see what their interests are, but I don’t think that I’ll be acting that much longer at the pace I am now. That’s for sure. Because that’s the most difficult thing“, he added.
However, it is certain that even if he stops coming to the front side of the camera, he will be there in the industry, as he is also a producer.

Mark Wahlberg Became a Producer Out of Necessity
Mark Wahlberg is not just a versatile actor; he’s also a highly successful producer who has made some noteworthy contributions. Wahlberg’s journey as a producer began in the late 1990s when he co-produced the HBO seriesEntourage.
Boardwalk Empire(2010-2014),Ballers(2015-2019), andSpenser Confidential(2020) are some examples of his contributions as a producer.

Wahlberg in his recent interview in Cigar Aficionado (viaThe Hollywood Reporter), said that he became a producer out of necessity.
“I started becoming a producer out of necessity,” he explained.
“I didn’t want to sit around waiting for Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise or whoever was already established before me and were the guys at the time, and Leo [DiCaprio] to go and pass on a movie until I could get my hands on it. I was always proactive in trying to find material and things that I could produce, that I knew was right for me, create my own destiny.”
The actor and producer also gave some hints that he might be in the director’s chair and work with next-gen great talents soon.
