That means, the creators took home a profit of $280 million so far, considering the budget of the film was just $20 million.
The hype for the movie was created thanks to the video game series the movie is based on. The film has been criticized by some critics who claim that the film feels like a “cash grab.” Nonetheless, it has been very beneficial for the studios financially.
