Jeff Sneider bets John Boyega will not return toStar Wars
Jeffery Sneider, one of Hollywood’s most prominent critics, previously shared his thoughts onJohn Boyega’sreappearance in theStar Warsfranchise. InThe Hot Micpodcast, Sneider covered Boyega’s homecoming prospects. The film critic was previously optimistic about theBreakingStar joining the cast of the new Star Wars project, but according to Sneider, Boyega will not reprise his role as Finn.
During the podcast episode, the critic made a statement regarding Boyega’s comeback. Sneider said, “I want to bet you right now, John Boyega won’t be in the Star Wars movie.”A month ago Sneider saw a glint of hope and said he won’t be surprised if Boyega came back to the multimedia franchiseStar Wars. John Boyega slammed Disney for hisStar Warscharacter Finn
During an interview with GQ magazine, Boyega didn’t hold back in revealing his opinions on Disney while working on theStar Warsproject. The 31-year-old actor grilled the media organization, claiming that they had no idea how to handle his character. While talking about his character and Disney, theAttack the Blockactor said,
“It’s so difficult to maneuver. You get yourself involved in projects and you’re not necessarily going to like everything. But what I would say to Disney is do not bring out a Black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are, and then have them pushed to the side. It’s not good. I’ll say it straight up.”
He further added,
“Like, you guys knew what to do with Daisy Ridley, you knew what to do with Adam Driver. You knew what to do with these other people, but when it came to Kelly Marie Tran when it came to John Boyega, you know f–k all. So what do you want me to say? What they want you to say is, ‘I enjoyed being a part of it. It was a great experience…’ Nah, nah, nah. I’ll take that deal when it’s a great experience.”

Boyega also mentioned that this discrimination was evident in his other two co-stars Ridley and Adam Driver as well. He also said that he isn’t exposing anything everyone knows how Disney functions in certain areas when it comes to filming.
