Denise Richards Believes Male Bond Makes More Sense Than A Female Bond

Denise Richards underwent a lot of bitter experiences in her career, especially during the filming of Wild Things, but unlike other celebrities, she preferred to remain quiet. But again, she is thankful that the changed times have allowed women to have“more of a voice”today. While her silence may sound controversial, Richards doesn’t really care about the narrative.

Richards, who is more inclined towards feminine roles, believes that a male James Bond is more suitable for the $7.5 billion franchise. Richards still has a logical answer on who deserves to carry on the legacy of James Bond. When asked if it was time for a female Bond, she said:

“Definitely a male Bond, I’m sorry. And I might get a lot of flack for this. But the fact of the matter is the Bond franchise was based on a book franchise and Bond was male in the books and I believe [they should] continue with that.

I do, and people may shit on me for it, but I believe it. They could do a spin-off where a Bond girl becomes the female Bond. But I think James Bond is James Bond.”

Richards remained quiet about her negative experiences with Hollywood in the late 1990s and early 2000s. As the speculations continue to grow, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is one of the top choices for the iconic character. Other top preferences include Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, and Rege-Jean Page.
