Despite the search for a new Bond and his statement to never return, fans have been hoping against hope that Craig would get another chance to star as the iconic British spy 007. His rugged persona and the physically imposing presence he brought to the role have led many to declare him as one of the best if not the best portrayals of James Bond.

In his second appearance, while filmingQuantum of Solacehe dislocated his shoulder and had it reconstructed as well as sliced the tip of his finger. He even snapped his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and fractured his ankle as well as hurt both his knees. The ACL tear is regarded as one of the most painful injuries and he still managed to continue filming.
