IN 2015,Daniel Craigappeared in the role of Stormtrooper FN-1824 in theStar Warsfilm,The Force Awakens. Though he featured in a small cameo, TheNo Time to Diestar remembered his time on set with nostalgia and fondness. Speaking to Josh Horowitz in theHappy Sad Confusedpodcast, Craig shared a good laugh with his host regarding his character’s name and jokingly addressed his absence from the next two installments of the trilogy.

While he was unsure of the possibility of being part of the franchise again, Daniel Craig threw open the question to the viewers about their opinions on him being associated with the films in the future.

Being part of a something that one admires and loves is a truly enriching experience and Daniel Craig got to live that dream through his association withStar Wars. TheCasino Royaleactor who is an ardent fan of the iconic franchise, played a small cameo in the 2015Star Warsfilm,The Force Awakens. Speaking in theHappy Sad Confusedpodcast, the British star elaborated on the events that led to him being part of the film.
“Ben Dixon, who’s an AD [Assistant Director] on the movie who AD’d our movies, I was on Pinewood because I was doing fittings. I just said, ‘Could I get a part in this?’ And he went, ‘Yeah,’ Next day, I’m in a f***ing suit.”
While Craig confessed that wearing the Stormtrooper suit was hot and uncomfortable, the experience was absolutely worth it as he got the opportunity to be part of a cult franchise that he grew up watching. The James Bond actor also had words of praise for all his co-stars who were completely committed to the film and its legacy.
