Reeves’ career, which was full of blockbuster hits to disappointing failures, has not stopped theReplicasstar. ThePoint Breakstar has poured his 100% into all his works, in an effort to constantly impress fans with his marvelous work. Now, there have been recent reports that Reeves will soon be back with the second installment of his 2005 movieConstantine.

Keanu Reeves To Soon Come Up WithConstantine2
Constantinewas the 2005 superhero horror movie, loosely based on DC’s comicHellblazer. The film follows the story of John Constantine, Reeves’ character, an exorcist who possesses the ability to communicate with half angels and half demons. The film received mixed reviews with 46% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. The film may not have been a blockbuster hit yet the storyline of the movie is surely intriguing. Thus, after nearly two decades the sequel of the movie is in progress.
In an interview, theJohn Wickstar shared that the development ofConstantine2 is under progress for quite some time. As perKeanu Reeves, this topic has become a regular conversation between him and WB, as theKnock Knockstar continued to constantly plead for the sequel of his 2005 movie.

“I don’t know if it was unfinished business but it was a role that I loved. And I thought that Francis Lawrence, the director, did such amazing work. I loved playing that character, and I really enjoyed the film. I was like, [adopts Oliver Twist voice] ‘Can I please have some more?’ I kept asking almost every year. I’d be like, ‘Can I please?’ [and] they’d be like, ‘No, no’.”
The Lake Housestar also shared that he and his team started working on the upcoming sequel with all their might as soon as they received a positive reply from the studios. Reeves couldn’t hide his excitement to reprise his role of John Constantine.

“So it’s exciting. It’s almost like an open playground that we can hopefully cook something up and play in, and I guess get out of the playground and prepare a meal. But I’m looking forward to it, and hopefully, it can happen. You don’t know how these things go. But I’m definitely going to try my darndest to try and realize that dream.”

Francis Lawrence onConstantine2 Uncertainties in James Gunn’s DCEU
Francis Lawrence, the director of 2005Constantine, too shared his excitement for the upcoming DC movie. But at the same time subtly hinted at the difficulties and uncertainties that still surround the movie’s development under the direction of co-CEOs of DCEUJames Gunn.
“We don’t have a script, but Keanu, me, and Akiva [Goldsman] who all worked on the first one together have all been trying over the years to get another one going. It’s been tricky because of the DC/Vertigo world and who owns the character and who has control over the characters, trying to get the right people to go forward. We’ve got that now and now we need the story. We’d all love to do it.”

Gunn’s introduction to the DCEU has resulted in some major reshuffling. With the building of the DCEU under Gunn’s reign, it is hard to confirm the development of Reeves’ aspiringConstantine2 with its potential release date. Gunn will soon announce his plans for the upcoming DCEU projects to carry forth his aspiring visions to save the DCEU.
