Now, in a recent interview on theArmchair Expert Podcast, he revealed that he has an idea for a prison drama that he hopes to write and direct. He also expressed his desire to castDenzel Washingtonin the potential film. Norton said,

“It’s much more related to your first question, which is, what would you tell your younger self? ‘If I knew the time that things take. I’ve got a lot of stories in my head that I want to make into films. I’ve got a really good prison escape drama that I’ve literally written in my head. I know it, I want to get to it, I want to write it, direct it, I want Denzel to play one of the main parts in it.”

The concept is something that will be an interesting one for both actors to explore. Considering how Norton is meticulous with his material, one can hope that he will produce an intense prison drama. With the addition of Washington in the film, it will be a great one for audiences to witness.

Edward Norton Banned From Returning to Marvel, According to New Book

Edward Norton starred in 2008’sThe Incredible Hulkwhich was one of the initial films that started the MCU. The film is infamous for Norton’s on-set behavior, wanting to have full creative control and suggesting various changes to the script that the studio had approved. The conflict with the studio led to Norton quitting the role and being replaced by Mark Ruffalo inThe Avengers.

In the bookMCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, it revealed that Norton is one of the people (along with Joss Whedon) who are banned from ever returning to the franchise. An excerpt from the book reads,
