The $746 millionX-Menmovie, which is also one of the best-rated from the franchise,X-Men: Days of Future PaststarsMichael Fassbenderas Magento, a powerful mutant who can manipulate magnetic fields and force anything made of metal to move through the air. But while fans highly loved his character, theAssassin’s Creedstar isn’t of the same view.

In the movie, there is a scene where Fassbender, wearing a silly yet functional helmet that prevents his mutant former best friend and psychic Charles Xavier from reading his mind or taking control of it over a burgundy cape, yells and gestures aggressively to make an entire stadium float through the air.
Watching this scene two years after the movie’s release at the TIFF Soirée, the Toronto Film Festival’s pre-opening-night fundraising event, theX-Menstar cringed and rubbed his face in embarrassment before stating,

“I don’t actually like that performance there, to be honest. I just think it’s me shouting. It’s just like — [makes an angry face and flails his arms] some dude shouting.”
But turns out it’s too late now to make that revelation!

Michael Fassbender Resonated With This One Movie More Personally Than Others
While hisX-Men: Days of Future Pastrole made him cringe, Michael Fassbender’sHunger (2023)holds more personal resonance for him.
“I was just so … hungry!” he said, “in more ways than one.”
In fact, he even lost weight by himself within the 10 weeks that he took off from production to make himself look like a starved person. Not only this, but he also pushed several boundaries to give his extra best for the movie. Recalling his experience, he said,
“It was a very solitary and profound experience. I really wanted to do this for a living, and I got this opportunity to play a lead role in a film, and I really wanted to verify that I grabbed that opportunity with both hands.”
Regardless, Michael Fassbender has given the best performance in every single movie that he has starred in to date, even more so with his most hated role, considering how much fans love him in the character and want no one else to play Erik Lehnsherr but him.
