Alan Moore disowned TheWatchmenTV Show
Alan Moore, one of the creators of theWatchmencomics, had a difficult time dealing with the show creator Damon Lindelof. The director wanted to create a remix for a story by making some changes and adding new characters instead of a straight-up reboot from the comic. It led to a conflict of ideas between them.
Hence, Damon Lindelof wrote a letter to Moore about the importance of the book for him as he wanted him to be onboard with the television show.

However, Moore was quite upset upon receiving the letter. In conversation with GQ, he shared that he was a little bit put off by the introduction in the letter.
“Dear Mr. Moore, I am one of the b*stards currently destroying Watchmen,”

Moore joked that it wasn’t the best opener.
Moore added,
“It went on through a lot of, what seemed to me to be, neurotic rambling. ‘Can you at least tell us how to pronounce ‘Ozymandias’?’ I got back with a very abrupt and probably hostile reply telling him that I’d thought that Warner Brothers were aware that they, nor any of their employees, shouldn’t contact me again for any reason. I explained that I had disowned the work in question, and partly that was because the film industry and the comics industry seemed to have created things that had nothing to do with my work, but which would be associated with it in the public mind. I said, ‘Look, this is embarrassing to me. I don’t want anything to do with you or your show. Please don’t bother me again.'”

With the announcement of the newWatchmenproject, there is a lot of buzz on social media. However, Moore has specified that he does not wish to be associated with any new copy ofWatchmen.
