While both of them laughed at first, Jada Pinkett Smith comments laughingly that he knows how she can not have Merlot, and expresses her affection to Smith, stating that these things stop her from divorcing him.

Will Smith had sent an email to theNew York Times, stating how the memoir had “kind of woke [him] up,” and how his wifewas “resilient, clever and compassionate than [he’d] understood.”However, even after all the controversies, the actor is madly in love with her, and an“emotional blindness”has set in.
“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in. And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”
