Instead, you’re encouraged to discover these hidden mechanics on your own or with help from the game’s community. In previous FromSoftware titles, there was never a dedicated tutorial section. Instead, the opening segment served as a pseudo-tutorial while also offering narrative context.
However, with Elden Ring Nightreign, FromSoftware has implemented a dedicated tutorial. Surprisingly, you can replay the entire tutorial section as many times as you want via the game’sVisual Codexsystem. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to replay the tutorial in Elden Ring Nightreign and obtain a special Relic from it.
What Is Included in Elden Ring Nightreign’s Tutorial?
The tutorial in Elden Ring Nightreign is fairly straightforward. It gets you up to speed with the game’s basic controls and combat system. Most of Nightreign’s gameplay is identical to that of the base Elden Ring, with a few key differences. First, Nightreign features a newcharacter ability system, which is introduced during the prologue. The tutorial also teaches the basics ofvaultingandsurge sprinting. At the end of the tutorial, you face theFell Omen, one of theNight Bossesin Nightreign. Unlike the Expeditions, you don’t receive any rewards (Relics or Murk) for completing the tutorial.
However, if you defeat the Fell Omen, you will receive a special Relic: theFell Omen Fetish. That said, you aren’t meant to win the boss fight in the tutorial. To even stand a chance against the Fell Omen, you need a good understanding ofWylder’s movesetand abilities. This is where thetutorial replay systembecomes useful.
How To Replay the Tutorial

You can replay the tutorial as many times as you want. However, note that you cannot use yourcustom Relicsduring the tutorial. You can only play the tutorial asWylder (Level 6). The main reason to replay the tutorial is to obtain theFell Omen Fetish Relic. However, you aren’t missing much if you don’t defeat the Fell Omen, as the Fetish has similar stats to the Relic you receive after defeating the final boss.
