After almost a year since the infamous Oscar slap-gate incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock, the latter has finally broken his silence during his new Netflix SpecialChris Rock: Selective Outrage.During his special, the actor recalled the time when Will Smith slapped him on live television after Rock made a G.I. Joe joke, alluding to his wife’s shaved head.

And theMadagascaractor didn’t hold back during his set as he went on to blastThe Pursuit ofHappynessactor through his jokes for his deplorable outburst at the 94th Academy Awards.

Apart from blasting Will Smith through his jokes and callbacks to the infamous slapping incident, Chris Rock also went on to take a shot at Will Smith’s failed relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith. He continued that it wasn’t the joke that hurt smith but Jada Smith after she cheated on Smith with their son’s friend, August Alsina, and called them out for discussing this matter on the internet, referring to their 2020’sRed Table Talk. He said,

“Will Smith practices selective outrage. For everybody who doesn’t know, his wife was fcking her son’s friend. She hurt him way more than he hurt me. OK? I tried to call that man and give him my condolences, he didn’t pick up for me.  Everybody called him a btch, and who did he hit? Me, he knows he could beat. That is some b*tch-a** shit!

Apart from his blunt responses to the situation, Chris Rock also admitted that he previously admiredWill Smithfor the plethora of great projects that he had pumped out throughout his career. But theMadagascaractor didn’t shy away from taking another shot at the actor by jokingly stating that the only reason he watched Will Smith’sEmancipationwas to witness Smith getting beaten, referring to Smith’s character Peter getting whipped in the movie. He said,

“I love Will Smith, my whole life. He makes some great movies. I have rooted for Will Smith my whole life, I root for this motherf*cker. And now, I watch ‘Emancipation’ just to see him get whooped.”
