The couple was praised for the chemistry between them. In an interview with Rolling Stone, theAvatar: The Way of Wateractress revealed how she and DiCaprio became friends instantly on the sets ofTitanic.
“Y’know, working with Leonardo DiCaprio — he’s a bit gorgeous, and I was worried that I was going to be bowled over by him, or that he was going to find me all stuffy and Shakespearean and English, but the second we met, we just completely clicked.”

The actress further talked about how they would goof on sets and do“the most ridiculous things to each other”
“We’d do the most ridiculous things to each other. He’d be tickling me, groping me, winding me up. And I’d be doing the same thing back, sort of grabbing his bum.”

Although both the actors had the time of their lives while shooting the movie, Winslet faced some backlash following the release of the film. As per the actress, the intense spotlight made her feel vulnerable in front of the public eye, and mainstream media“vilified”her!

In a recent interview with Vogue, Winslet revealed the dark side of mainstream media when she originally found fame with the release ofTitanic.She stated that she had to look after herself which she found out the hard way after getting famous.
“I’m not going to lie, I’ve absolutely learned how to look after myself the hard way. What I really remember vividly is that when I did Titanic and was so thrust into the public eye, I was shocked and horrified by how vilified I was by mainstream media.”
