Filming nude and intimate scenes for a film is never easy, and it becomes even harder when the film is like Sam Taylor-Johnson’sFifty Shadestrilogy. The romantic drama featuring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as leads have some of the most sensual scenes. The 2015 film, based on E. L. James’ novel of the same name, follows a college student as she gets involved in a romantic relationship with a young businessman.

The story required the lead stars to film some sensual scenes, which led them to feel uncomfortable on some level. However, both of them supported each other during those times. ThePersuasionstar also shared how Dornan tried everything to ease her while describing the filming the s*x scenes as stressful.

Jamie Dornan Made Dakota Johnson Feel Protected
Fifty Shadestrilogy features nudity and several s*x scenes. The first film in the franchise, which introduced the sadistic businessman, Christian Grey, explored the character in every way possible. But it was not easy for the actors to film such scenes in a room full of people.
Dakota Johnsonopened up about filming the s*x scenes for the film during an interview with Glamour. Referring to the Red Room scenes in the 2015 film, she shared how she was still tied up to the bed, even after the director cut the scenes, and that it was was too uncomfortable for her.

“It’s stressful enough to be tied to a bed, naked, in a scene. But then they call ‘Cut’ and you’re still tied to the bed, naked.”
The Social Networkactress shared that her co-star, Jamie Dornan, was the first person to cover her up with a blanket.“Jamie would be the first one to throw a blanket over me,”she said.Johnson also shared thatThe Fallstar did “a lot of studying”to verify that his co-star felt safe and protected.

Although Dornan did everything he could, there were moments when Dakota Johnson felt uncomfortable and“painful.”She shared that filming the Red Room scenes was particularly stressful and uncomfortable for her.

Dakota Johnson Doesn’t Consider HerFifty ShadesCharacter Weak
While Jamie Dornan visited places where he could watch dominant-submissive sessions to prepare for his role, Dakota Johnson had her own ways to prepare for her character. She shared that she did not go to any such places but read about the BDSM culture. TheFifty Shared Darkerstar said that she wanted“Ana’s reaction to certain things to be completely honest.”
And not having much knowledge about it did help her to get things right. Johnson also said that she does not consider her character Anastasia Steele weak and that she is proud of her work and theFifty Shadesfilms.
“I’m proud of [the movie]. I completely disagree with people who think Ana’s weak,”she said. TheLost Daughterstar also said that she does not think thatFifty Shades of Greyis“anti-feminist.”In fact, she said that Anastasia had power in the film, as “everything she does is her choice.”
But theSuspiriaactress does not want her family or friends to see her in theFifty Shadestrilogy. She shared that she does not want her mother, brother, or friends whom she grew up with, to watch the film.
