Fortnite 18.40 patch notes: Salvaged Brute, Naruto skins, Mythic Kunai, more
The Fortnite 18.40 patch notes are here, and this update brings exciting a lot of exciting new content. This includes the return of the B.R.U.T.E, much-anticipated Naruto skins and cosmetics, a Mythic Kunai weapon, the next two stages of The Convergence, and more.
Fortnite Season 8 has already spoilt players with afair share of content. In addition to map changes caused by The Convergence happening in the middle of the island, Epic Games sprinkled in crossovers withAriana Grande,Resident Evil,and more. However, things don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. At least, not in Fortnite update 18.40, which is going to freshen things up once again. Along with bringing Mechs back into the game, this update kicks off theNaruto x Fortnite crossover,which includes skins, cosmetics, and a Mythic Kunai weapon. That’s not all, though. The Convergence is also believed to be advancing into its next two stages in this patch and more.

Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. funding stations
As the war against The Cube Queen rages on, the resistance effort is bringing out the big guns – or what’s left of them anyway. Players can now contribute their gold bars to help the Loopers deploy mechs to help turn the tides of battle. This new version of the B.R.U.T.E. won’t have the signature overshield of the original version but otherwise will operate the same way.
Naruto skins and cosmetics
After months of rumors and hype, the Naruto x Fortnite collaboration is finally happening in Fortnite update 18.40.
Not only will it include a skin for Naruto, but it will also include skins for other popular characters, including Kakashi, Sasuke, and Sakura.

Mythic Kunai weapon
The Paper Bomb Kunai is the newest Mythic addition to the game and can be found in Chests and Loot Llamas. Players will also be able to buy these explosives from Kakashi Hatake when they find him hiding around the map. https://twitter.com/HYPEX/status/1452963102547398660?s=20
The Convergence Stages 4 & 5
The Convergence has been changing throughout the course of the last few updates. It’s currently in its third stage. However, it’s expected to enter its fourth and fifth stages in the latest patch.

Fortnite vehicle updates
Last but not least, the classic Shopping Cart has returned to the game in Patch 18.40. These manually powered vehicles can be found in both shopping and residential areas – like Retail Row or Holly Hedges.
Battle Pass XP in Creative Mode
In creator-made maps that utilize the new Accolade Device, players will be able to earn XP towards their Battle Pass progress via Accolades set by the creator. The device is available now to all creators.
