Back in 2002, Paul Newman and Stanley Tucci starred in Tom Hank’s movie titledRoad to Perdition.Although the movie received rave reviews, with Newman getting a nomination for an Oscar for the category of“Best Supporting Actor”,his co-star wasn’t impressed. In a YouTube video, Stanley Tucci was seen talking about the 2002 movie while dissing his late co-star.
“The Road to Perdition, because it was so beautifully written. It was Sam Mendes directing it and, you know, Tom Hanks and this amazing group of people but also…everybody was not good in the movie. So, I like that, the Irish and the Italians”

The reference was clearly hinted at Paul Newman who would later go on to voice the iconic character of Doc Hudson in the 2006 movieCars.Tucci got diagnosed with tongue cancer and he further talked about falling in love again at such an old age.

Following the death of his wife in 2009, Tucci met Felicity Blunt in 2012. Having a 21-year age gap between the two,Stanley Tucciwas worried and wanted to break up very badly with her before things became serious. Much to the actor’s fortunate circumstances, they did not break up.

“[I was] afraid to get into a relationship and I kept trying to break it off [because] I am 21 years older than she is. I didn’t want to feel old for the rest of my life. But I knew this was an incredibly special person”.
He further continued,
“Felicity has been so incredible taking on a widower and three children whose mother died. That’s a huge thing, at a very young age too. If anybody made things better for all of us, it’s her. She’s the one,”
The two married in 2012 and have been happily married ever since. As for the 2002 movie,Road to Perditionis available to stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.
