The actress explained that the R-rated comedy movie will offend many viewers, adding that it is a part of the process.

ActressJennifer Lawrencerecently appeared for an interview with Sky News to talk about her latest film,No Hard Feelings. The actress explained that the movie will offend many people,

“I think it’s time for just a good old-fashioned laugh and it really is hard to make a comedy where you’re not offending people. Everybody in some sense will be offended by this film – you’re welcome.”

The actress feels like offending people is a crucial part of a comedy sketch. Without a doubt, being a comedian in today’s world is quite tough as you need to make sure you cater to everyone and avoid making any offensive jokes because that will lead to “cancellation.”

“Something we learned from the old-time comedies is mean comedy is not really funny, making somebody feel bad about themselves – other than me making fun of me but the way that we did it is fine, we figured it out.”

In the movie, Lawrence plays Maddie, a broke Uber driver who wants to buy a new car. She then comes across an advert from two parents looking for a woman to date their 19-year-old introverted son (Andrew Barth Feldman).
