WandaVisionhas brought some great new actors into the picture. We’ve got Kathryn Hahn doing a remarkable job as Agnes. Teyonah Parris has been quite amazing as the older Monica Rambeau. Josh Stamberg is cranking up the heat as SWORD’s Acting Director, Tyler Hayward. Evan Peters has just showed up asQuicksilver. And then there are all the new characters inside Wanda’s bubble. But besides all these new names, we’ve got a couple of familiar faces that everyone’s absolutely loving. Kat Dennings has returned as Dr. Darcy Short from the Thor franchise, and people are wondering if she will return inThor 4.
For now, she has formed a nice little pair with Randal Park’s Jimmy Woo. People are loving Darcy and Jimmy so much that they’re actually asking for a spinoff series based on them. While that won’t happen, we’ve still got high hopes for at least Darcy to return in future projects. Since she is a Thor franchise character, people have been asking her about her return inThor: Love and Thunder. But she has been repeatedly denying that. Here’s what she toldExtra TVwhen asked aboutThor 4:“I’ve been asked, and I still don’t know. I’m gonna say, ‘No’ only because they’re shooting it.”
Well, it is a common norm for allMCUactors deny their roles in upcoming projects. But becauseThor 4is currently under production in Sydney and Kat Dennings is not there, we could take her word for it. So, Darcy probably won’t be joining the likes of Jane Foster in the film, unless something changes in the next couple of months. But, we’ve still got some great news for all you Darcy fans out there. Dennings went on to say that she has already worked on another MCU project. She said,“There are some things I’ve done for Marvel that are coming out that are not this, but I probably can’t say.”
It is quite unlikely that she was a part ofBlack Widow,The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,Ms. Marvel,Hawkeye,Shang-Chi,Eternals,or evenHomecoming 3’s production. Considering thatWandaVisionwill connect withDoctor Strange 2, there’s a minor possibility that Dennings might have shot something for it. But again, the production has been happening in the UK. So, Darcy’s return there may not be possible after all. The only project that is left for her return is Marvel’sWhat if…?series. Since every other MCU actor has voiced their MCU characters for this show, Dennings must have recorded some dialogues for Darcy’s role as well. And that’s probably what she was referring to while speaking with Extra TV.
