How Daniel Craig Accidentally Became a S*x Symbol?
Daniel Craigmade hisJames Bonddebut in 2006’sCasino Royale. Interestingly, the actor was an immediate hit after his accidental beach scene that was kept in the film.“I was aware of what was needed to be Bond but it still goes against everything I believe in,”Craid said of the scene (viaCinemaBlend).
“You’ve met me a couple of times, I’m not very cool. I’m not the coolest human being. I wish I was, but I’m not. And I don’t pretend to be cool. But playing James Bond, you have to be cool, and what the hell is cool? You could write a dissertation on it! That was a big accident, that particular shot. I was pretending to swim in shallow water and then I stood up and walked out of the water! I was pretending to be cool by swimming, I thought it looked stupid and stood up and I walked off — and that was the shot!’”he added.

Be it accidental or scripted, the scene has made Craig a s*x symbol and the makers made sure to keep the scene in the film and used it to promote the movie.

Daniel Craig Revealed His Evolution FromCasino Royale
Craig has evolved over the years with more experience and learning in the process of being part of a film. Especially, his 007 character has evolved the actor right from his first Bond movieCasino Royale.“For a while, I mourned the actor that I was in Casino Royale,”Craig toldEmpire.“Because in Casino Royale I didn’t know any better. I just didn’t get all of the pressure.”
“Then you do (the film) and you get some success, and you go, ‘Oh shit’. It’s a double-edged sword. If I made Casino Royale and it was a pile of shit and I walked away, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. And maybe I would have carried on acting and that would have been great. But it was a hit, and then there was the pressure that came with the need to succeed,”he added.

The actor further revealed his occasional yearning for the person“I was when we did Casino Royale,”he continued. Sometimes too much knowledge“is just a little bit not a good thing. I was in the dark about a lot of things, about the way things worked, about the way the world really viewed Bond.”Eventually, the actor“started understanding”the essence of the Bond movies, and“the weight of it bored me down,”he added.
Certainly, he bounced back and grasped the gravity and legacy of the movies. Craig’s tenure as 007 is, however, over after his last appearance in the 2021 movie of the franchise,No Time to Die.
