It is impossible to imagine another voice bringing Batman to life other than Kevin Conroy. Many have come before and after him, but his version is considered the best. While he has played the character inBatman: The Animated Seriesfor 30 years, he almost lost the role for one particular mishap.

Kevin Conroy

Conroy established his legacy as the voice of the Caped Crusader in various platforms, such as animated films, TV shows, video games, and even live-action movies. He became the face of the hero and frequently attended Comic-Con events, to which his enthusiasm nearly got him fired.

Warner Bros Almost Fired Kevin Conroy FromBatman: ArkhamFranchise

Kevin Conroyhas finished three installments of theBatman: Arkhamseries. Fresh from the studio booth ofArkham Knight, he was excited to share with fans the rigorous process as well as the fruits of his labor when he accidentally spilled a secret (viaIt’s Recording Time Media):

“Arkham Knight, the third part of the trilogy, which I am saying all this to give you an idea what it’s like to build it, obviously I’m really proud to be a part of them, they’re incredible games. Once it’s done and you see what you’ve done, you think, ‘Yeah, I gave to that, that’s my voice in there, I made that work, but the process is like, you know, root canal.”

As the developer was gearing forArkham Knight’s release, they were also prepping for a new game,Arkham Origins. At this point, it remains a company secret, and Conroy was unaware of it. Clearly, there had been a lack of communication between the actor and Warner Bros. Games:

“The reason they did Arkham Origins, which was not part of the trilogy, without any actors from the trilogy, is because involved in the game, while this massive game was being built, Arkham Knight, they didn’t even tell us about Origins. I didn’t even know about Origins. I was asked about it at a panel, ‘Oh, are you in the next Arkham game?’ I said, ‘It’s not been announced?’”

Tom Holland

As Conroy answered the follow-up question, he revealed that he was in the nextArkhamgame, and the people brought upArkhamOrigins. Perplexed, the actor said, “Arkham what?” The fans then asked which game he was actually referring to. Later, Conroy revealed he was reprimanded by an executive for his carelessness:

“And then I got a call from Warner Brothers. I’m not kidding. From the vice-president of Warner Brothers, saying, ‘You are in serious breach of contract, and you have let something out of the bag, and you are forbidden to ever go to a Comic-Con again.’”

They fought for a while but ended up reaching an agreement after Kevin Conroy pleaded and insisted on how much he promoted the games. Whenever he attends an event, he was accompanied by a minder who would signal the actor to be careful when the questions drift to dangerous territories.

Tom Holland Is Famous For Spoiling Marvel Films

A similar situation infamously happened toSpider-Man’sTom Holland. Fans would remember the numerous times the actor spilled Marvel’s secrets during interviews. It has become a long-running joke that Holland is notoriously known for not being able to keep a secret.

Once, he shared that he had no updates about theSpider-Mansequel but showed fans his tablet with the script’s front page, revealing the titleSpider-Man: Far From Home. The worst was definitely when he gave a major spoiler forAvengers: Infinity War, who went into a theater full of excited fans to promote the movie. Later on, he spilled the biggest secret that Spider-Man was actually alive.

Unlike Kevin Conroy, Holland was not forbidden to attend interviews and promote movies despite his reputation, but reports say that he “doesn’t get a script” while in the middle of filming to limit spoilers.
