Doom The Dark Ages, much like its predecessors, is a bold reimagining of what a first-person arcade shooter should feel and play like. Unlike Doom Eternal or Doom (2016), The Dark Ages takes a more “boots on the ground” approach to combat. Although the game’s combat system is vastly different from that of Doom Eternal, it features a similar approach to progression. The game follows a campaign structure comparable to past entries, with more chapters and a greater emphasis on storytelling.

How To Replay Missions (Chapters) in Doom The Dark Ages
Mission replay works the same way in Doom The Dark Ages as in the previous Doom games. Once you complete a main story mission (chapter), you may replay that same mission at any time without affecting your current progress. However, mission replay is not available in the game’s Pandemonium difficulty preset. InPandemonium, the preset difficulty is the same asNightmare, but with additional parameters that make it one of the most challenging modes in the game, even more difficult thanUltra Nightmare.
Pandemonium is essentially the game’s “permadeath mode,” where if you die at any point, you are sent back to the beginning of the campaign.
As such, this mode does not support mission replay until you have beaten the game at least once on that specific difficulty. That said, here’s how you’re able to replay missions on other difficulty presets:
Note that you cannot replay selective parts of a mission. If you choose to replay a mission, you must complete it in its entirety. Mission replay also allows you to select different difficulty presets (except Pandemonium). Additionally, this feature is a great way to collect items or secrets you may have missed during your first playthrough.
