During a 2022 interview withCNBC,Dany Garciaopened up about her relationship with the Hollywood starDwayne Johnson. She recalled their first meeting in college and shared how they had maintained a healthy relationship after their split in 2008.
“We first saw each other in the weight room at the University of Miami,”she said as she explained that she was intrigued by his personality and his curly, afro mohawk. Garcia described their first interaction as a business meeting.
“I walked up to him, extended my hand, and said, ‘Hi, I’m Dany Garcia.’ He was like, “Hi, I’m Dwayne Johnson. It was a like business meeting,”she shared. They had the same interests, such as strength training and bodybuilding, and liked the same music, and Dany Garcia shared that Johnson did not hesitate to ask for her number.
“He asked if I had a phone. I told him I did. He started to call me every day after that,”she said. They got married in 1997 and welcomed their only child, Simone Garcia Johnson, who is now known as Ava Raine in the wrestling world. Although they separated in 2008, the ex-couple is known to be on good terms with each other and has had a healthy relationship even after their split.
