The biggest selling point forArmored Core 6is that it has come from fan favorite studio FromSoftware, the team behind the popularDark Soulsfranchise and the latest Game of the Year,Elden Ring. With that track recorded, its mech experience from previousArmored Coretitles and fans still on the souls-like hype train, it was a no-brainer that we have a new bestseller.

Critics have received the game very well, with it hitting some high scores across the board:

Insomniac Didn’t Want Venom to be ‘Too Scary’ in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

“Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon’s stellar customization options feed into its excellent mecha combat, and the result is challenging combat puzzles that kept my attention all the way through its 15-hour campaign and beyond. It’s let down by a dull story, but lands direct hits where it counts.” –IGN 8/10

“I’ve had nothing less than a huge grin on my face the entire way through my silky-smooth, 30-odd hour campaign playthrough, because this is as good as it gets. With its uncanny ability to mix approachability with complexity, lean action with combat depth, Armored Core 6 sets the new standard for what mecha games can do.”– Eurogamer 5/5

The PS5 has Killed a Fun Mechanic in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

“Armored Core 6 is FromSoftware like we’ve never seen it, back on its mech beat with renewed vigor after 10 years away. It’s an exhilarating game that lives up to the promise of action that only mechs can deliver, and it’s a refreshingly short and easily replayed experience that still manages heaps of depth.”– GamesRadar 4.5/5

“This is the only game that could pull me away from Baldur’s Gate 3.Playing this game is equivalent to snorting lines of farm-fresh grass-fed dopamine. Highly recommend.”says Jackal Joestar, the currrent “top helpful” fan review on Steam.

Not only Steam, but the UK Sales chart has also seenArmored Core 6rise to the top and hit the number-one spot. It’s hard to say how long it will stay there, but it’s a pretty fair assumption thatStarfieldwill take the crown once it releases in a few day’s time. AlthoughStarfieldis currently only fourth in the ranks, early access is set to arrive soon, and the response that comes from it may turn the tide of the Steam score board.
