Adam Sandler’s movies have often fallen into the category of ‘so bad they’re good.’ One such film series starring the Murder Mystery actor isGrown Ups,in which the former basketball star, Shaquille O’Neal, appeared in a role. During filming, the cast of the film used to play basketball, and Sandler had a funny awkward moment when he tried to sneak a peek at O’Neal’s junk while he was in the shower.

Whether you love or hate his movies, one can’t deny thatAdam Sandleris a gifted comedian and storyteller. One of his comically exaggerated tales aboutShaquille O’Nealhad hostConan O’Brien, his sidekick Andy Richter, and the audience roaring with laughter. Appearing on the show to promote the 2013 sequel toGrown Ups, Sandler discussed the surprising casting of O’Neal.
Sandler revealed that the cast, includingKevin James,Chris Rock, andDavid Spade, used to play basketball with the NBA legend. After one such game, Sandler had an irresistible urge to sneak a peek at O’Neal’s p*nis and decided to follow him into the locker room shower.The Wedding Singeractor made this elaborate plan to trick O’Neal and shared it withConan O’Brien:

“In my head, I’m like I got to see Shaq’s p*nis. I can’t pass up that opportunity. It’s not a gay thing. It’s just like, ‘I got to see that!’ […] I go back there. I hear the shower. I kind of turn around backwards and walk backwards a little like I was going to trick him. I’m walking backwards doing my routine, getting closer to the shower and then I turn around and I go, ‘All right, I’m going to see Shaq’s thing.’”
However, Sandler revealed that as he was about to execute his plan, he was stopped by O’Neal’s security guard, whom he described as a strong big guy with a thick neck, a bald head, and one eye.

Adam Sandler’s ‘Traumatic’ Encounter With ‘The Bodyguard’
TheUncut Gemsactor revealed that he was embarrassed and asked the guard not to tell O’Neal, but later decided to confess to theUncle Drewactor. Adam Sandler shared that when he told about the security guy stopping him, O’Neal ‘apparently’ told him that it was not his bodyguard but, in fact, his p*nis. Sandler shared with Conan:
“[But] his bodyguard is there. And his bodyguard is just so strong and big and like this thick neck, bald head. This one eye looking at me. So I said, ‘Sorry, I was just trying to see Shaq’s penis and I apologize. Please don’t tell Shaq.’ So, I see Shaq later on the set and I was like I guarantee that guy ratted me out. So I said, ‘Shaq, sorry about that before with the with your security guard.’ And he goes, ‘I don’t got a security guard. That was my d*ck.’”

It was at this moment that the Conan audience realized they had been set up perfectly for the punchline by Sandler. Neither the host nor the audience could contain their laughs. The50 First Datesactor praised O’Neal for his comedic timing, even humorously remarking that he was funnier than all the comedians in the movie.
